20 Minute Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (Easy Weeknight Dinner Idea)
Everywhere you look these days it seems that every restaurant and fast food restaurant alike are busy creating their own versions of the spicy/buffalo chicken sandwich.
and I must say, I have tried a lot of them.
As fun as they are to try, I really wanted to make something at home that would be a whole lot cheaper but still really easy to make when I was needing a really quick dinner idea.
I recently discovered the Tyson Air Fried Chicken Cutlets and I was really surprised with how good they tasted. They were a perfect size, had a great crunch, and were flat enough to make a quick and easy chicken sandwich out of them without being a wobbly mess.
I also want to mention that recipes like these are my absolute favorite because of how simple and quick they are. Honestly, there really isn’t a recipe to it you can just add whatever sauces, cheeses, and toppings you like to create a new flavor every time.
I love making this on a night where I would normally be tempted to eat out.

Tyson Air Fried Frozen Cutlets (I have also used the Tyson air fried chicken strips but I prefer the cutlets)

Sweet Baby Ray’s Buffalo Sauce

Hamburger buns of your choice (I highly recommend brioche or pretzel buns.)

Butter (for toasting the buns)

Mayo
-
Pickles
-
Sliced Tomatoes

Romaine Lettuce
Optional Ingredients/Recipe Variations
The best part about this recipe is how versatile it is without it costing you more time. Below I have listed some optional toppings you could use as well as another variation we have tried that we absolutely love.

Sliced onion/Carmelized onion

Bacon

Sliced cheese (you can create a whole new flavor just by adding cheese or changing the type of cheese used.)

Ranch

Add garlic butter instead of regular butter to the bun while toasting

Swap out buffalo sauce for BBQ sauce and top with onion rings (it is DIVINE)
Instructions

Place one frozen chicken cutlet per person on a baking sheet and cook according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, spread butter on each side of the bun and toast buns on stovetop or electric griddle.

Wash and cut fresh produce (ie, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce)

Once the chicken is done pour desired amount of buffalo sauce on top of chicken cutlets.

Assemble your chicken sandwich by adding mayo to both sides of your toasted bun

- Tyson Air Fried Chicken CutletsÂ
- Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo Sauce
- 1 pack of brioche or pretzel buns
- Butter (for toasting buns)
- Mayo
- Dill Pickle Chips
- Sliced Tomato
- Romaine Lettuce
Instructions
- Place one frozen chicken cutlet person on a baking sheet and cook according to package instructions.
- While the chicken is heating through, spread butter on each bun and toast on a stovetop or electric griddle.
- Wash produce and slice tomatoes.
- Once the chicken is done pour desired amount of buffalo sauce on top of each cutlet.
- Assemble your sandwich by adding mayo to both sides of the toasted bun then add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and chicken.
- Enjoy!
